Family Farmhouse Rooted in Tradition
Nestled in the heart of Vermont's rolling farmland and surrounded by mature maple trees, this custom home was designed for a young couple building their future on land rich with personal history. The wife, having grown up on this very property, dreamed of creating a home that honored her roots while providing space to grow—both for her own family and for gathering generations together.
The couple envisioned a timeless, traditional farmhouse, and the design brings that vision to life with authentic charm and thoughtful simplicity. A sweeping wrap-around porch invites quiet mornings and evening conversations, offering panoramic views of the serene agricultural landscape. The exterior evokes classic rural character, while the interiors balance rustic warmth with modern comfort, perfectly suited for everyday living and extended family visits.
More than just a home, this was a family effort—literally. Much of the site work was completed by the couple’s relatives using their own farm equipment. Every phase of construction was touched by loved ones, making the process just as meaningful as the finished space itself. This farmhouse is not just a residence—it’s a legacy, lovingly built by family, for family.
