     When a client approaches us with a clear vision—complete with a Minecraft model of their dream home—our role is to translate imagination into architecture. What began as a digital concept became the foundation for a thoughtfully designed residence grounded in place, materiality, and experience.

Set atop a bedrock hill, the site initially presented itself as a challenge. Steep terrain and exposed rock outcroppings demanded careful study and strategic intervention. Through site exploration and analysis, those perceived constraints revealed unique opportunities: elevated views, natural stone integration, and a strong connection between the home and its landscape.

     The design embraces the topography rather than fighting it. The structure anchors directly into the bedrock, creating a sense of permanence while minimizing site disturbance. Expansive glazing frames long views and brings natural light deep into the home, while carefully articulated rooflines respond to both the slope and the surrounding horizon.

     Performance was a driving force behind the design. The home features a high-performance building envelope, including European triple-pane windows and doors that significantly reduce heat loss while enhancing comfort and acoustic control. Paired with rooftop solar panels, the residence achieves exceptionally low annual energy costs, demonstrating that thoughtful design can be both environmentally responsible and economically efficient.
